D – Bag

This category is open to luxury shopping or carrier bags. As these products are not sold on the shelf, judges will not be asked to consider shelf stand-out but instead will be briefed to consider how the bag adds value to the brand once it has been given to a shopper.

E – Drinks – bottle

This category is open to all primary packs in any material for drinks, including both soft drinks and alcoholic drinks. In addition to the criteria laid out above, judges will take into account the primary pack, the closure and any labelling and decoration on the pack.

F – Drinks – presentation case, carton, sleeve or tube

This category is open to all decorative cases, tins, tubes and other secondary packs in any material that are used to enclose a bottle or other primary pack of wine, spirits or soft drinks. Judges will be looking exclusively at the secondary pack.

G – Perfume

This category is open to all packaging for perfume or aftershave for men or women in any material. In considering the five key criteria laid out above, judges will be briefed to focus not only on the primary perfume packaging but also any presentation cases/boxes or other secondary packaging in which the perfume is presented or sold.

H – Cosmetics

This category is open to all packaging for premium and luxury cosmetics products including, but not limited to, mascara, lipstick, lip gloss, nail polish, eye liner, foundation, face powder and other cosmetics products. In considering the five key criteria laid out above, judges will be briefed to focus not only on the primary packaging of the product but also any presentation cases/boxes or other secondary packaging in which the product is presented or sold.

I – Personal Care

This category is open to all packaging for premium and luxury personal care products including, but not limited to, creams, shampoo and other haircare products and skincare and cleaning products.

K – Design Agency

This new category will recognise the design agency that has made the best overall contribution to luxury packaging design in the year under review. Judges will be looking for evidence of a consistent output of outstanding work that demonstrates creativity, innovation, a strong sense of luxury and beauty, and evidence of value being added to the brands.

L – Packaging Manufacturer

This new category will reward the luxury packaging manufacturer that has made the best overall contribution to luxury packaging design and innovation in the year under review.
